Good information from the CDC

I just finished reading the latest report from the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) 46th Annual Meeting, which was held in April. Here is a link to a good site they recommended with FAQ's from the public:

  1. Sue,

Like you I am a nurse who worked in a busy county hospital for years.
I am married with a grown son. I found I had it through routine blood work.
I have not wanted to be treated with the interferon and now I know that it would not have worked for me because i don't have the IL 28 gene.
However I am going to be in an all oral study treatment. I will let you know how I do. If you want to give me your phone number I will call you.
Otherwise for now i will update you on your blog.
Lets keep in touch either way. There is hope for us. My doctor said that soon there will be a cure. They have made great progress in the past year.
